Umvuzo Medical is a ****

I am a 47 year old female who joined the Medical aid in 2022 April.I started feeling pain in January 2023 and when i consulted the GP referred me to the Gynaecologist. After several checks the Gynae referred me to another Gynae who specialises in taking care of the condition that i had.I was requiered to pay R1000 cash st the Gynae which i tried claiming back from the medical aid and i was taken from pillar to post,they ended up ignoring me regarding the request.The Gynae gave me an option of a laporoscopy to cure my condition of which i requested authorisation from my medical aid before i went for surgery.I went for surgery and apparently it took long because the Gynae discovered that i had Haernia and he called the gastroentologist but they couldn't proceed with treating the Haernia since i did not have authorization for that. I Was kept in the hospital to get better and later discharged after 2days.The Medical aid refused to pay some of the medical costs before i had no pictures to prove that i had cysts. The doctor provided histology report and pictures of the cysts being operated but the medical aid refused to pay out of R13 326 they only paid R4549.I am paying R2920 per month for this insurance so that I wont have to suffer when i get sick but i am not getting treated well with this Umvuzo Medical Aid
