Umvuzo Health Medical Aid - Worst medical aid ever!!!
I don't even know where to start or what to say exactly. This is the worst medical aid to be on when it comes to specialist visits. Or to be specific, anything got to do with you needing pre-authorisation, it's the worst service yet that I've experienced!! I can name so many instances where I've experienced bad customer service with the pre-authorisation department that the page won't be enough for me to type everything out. Half of the time the staff don't even know what they talking about and then when I eventually talk to a manager or a team leader then they tell me a whole different story and I manage to get my authorisation number. And that's after a whole week or two and 200 free minutes down the drain of struggling to get a authorisation number. They don't even call you back when they promised they will so that your problem can be resolved. If you don't phone them back and ask what is going on, they never will. I will definitely not recommend anyone to join with Umvuzo Health as they will just waste your time and money. I will rather pay more for another medical aid then sit with continuous problems from them.
