Umvuso Health, Medical aid from Hell

I am medical aid member of Umvuso Health. My medical aid number is 180775. I Joined them last year in November 2018.

This is no medical aid but medical torture. 1. Last year when I joined this medical aid, I was put in an option I did not choose on their application forms. I was put on a higher premium. When I enquired later in April this year, I was only given "Sorry, we made a mistake". No mention was ever made to reimburse for wrongful deductions. 2. Umvuso refuses to pay for prescribed medicines. I have consulted doctors on the following dates (04/09/2019; 20/07/2019 and 06/05/2019), and Umvuso refused to pay a single item of that prescribed. 3. Umvuso refuses to pay for blood samples and other analysis samples requested by doctors. A few months back, I was diagnosed with having a kidney stones es condition. Doctors needed to ascertain what caused the kidney stones. Also blood samples were requested for myself and my wife at some stage. These and that for the kidney stones were also refused to be paid for by Umvuso. 4. My wife is diabetic. In order to manage her condition well, amongst things she need are basic things like a machine that helps ensure her blood sugar level, and strips to check. Something as basic as this, Umvuso refuses to pay for it and strips (strips they (Umvuso) paid for, was only a third of the price charged. 5. Umvuso, in very exceptional cases where they pay, they pay less that 50% of the cost of medication. 6. Wrongful advertising of services and products, the leaflets brochures given are contradictory to services and products they give.
