Umvuso health( bad medical aid ever)

I joined UMVUSO Health in 2019 everything went well with the medical aid, we have been in consultations with the Doctors GP, Up until last year 2020 when my wife was referred to the specialist by the GP, 1st time and 2nd time upon visiting the specialist - payment was made and for the 3rd time the payment was not made to the specialist, That's when the problem started, I've been receiving messages from the specialist lawyers saying that i should pay R1400 who face the consequences. When i contacted the UMVUSO Health i was told that proper procedure was not followed, when i asked which procedure are they referring to, they told me i didn't call for authorization, they are saying each and every visit to the GP or Specialist i should call them for an authorization. I don't mind doing that, my argument is: i joined Umvuso in 2019 and we have been visiting GP's without me calling for any authorization up until last year they refuse to pay just because i didn't make a call...That's unfair. Now i have to face consequences from the specialist lawyers. I even explained to them that even on their brochure there is no information that state who should call for authorisation.
