Handover of hospital account for procedure that was approved by the medical aid
I am so disappointed with Umvuzo of which I've been a client for over years. Last year June I underwent a procedure to remove cysts in my womb. All authorizations were received, and procedure done. 6 months later in January i was notified by Lenmed hospital that I have an outstanding balance of R18k not settled by Umvuzo. I engaged them and had their broker also assist & submitted everything required from the doctor. To this day I have received no response from them instead received a handover letter from Lenmed for R18k. I am so angry at this point I want to cancel.my membership as this defeats thw purpose of having a medical aid - which is not cheap either.
