Claims that takes a year before being paid out.

We use Umvuzo Medical Aid Supreme. We have been member for 5years since last year it's been going downhill when it comes to specialists beibg paid. I had an ankle operation on the 30 Aug 2023. After numerous emails of invoices and motivational letters and me calling the scheme they only paid the doctor June 2024.

In March 2024 I had to go and see the Audiologist where the found out I need a hearing aid for my left ear. They contacted the scheme in April to see if there are funds available which there was,they send a quote and motivation. When the Audiologist called and enquire about the quote not approved yet the requested a invoice, but the Audiologist called time after time after April and they only told them in July they waiting for a invoice. No the struggle is again the payment. My concern is why if there is claims in a specific year does payment only done the year after? This is frustrating waiting for this hearing aid and the doctor asking you the pasiente to follow up.
