Esikhawini Library Withholding Services because of a staff member's day off.

My name is Melusi Zondi and I'm a resident of Esikhawini and a regular user of the Esikhawini Library, and over the past years that I have in possession of the Esikhawini Library Services membership card there has been one issue that I have battled to understand and frankly deem is no longer bearable. In Esikhawini Library the computer there is one employee (who is always helpful) and whenever he is on his Day off, or off sick or for whatever reason he may be absent for for work the computers at the library are non-functional as there is no staff member manning that area as Sfundo is absent. When we ask for assistance from other staff member we are told that Sfundo is off and they don't have passwords to switch on the computers and told to come back tomorrow. This can be very frustrating as some of due to financial constraints walk long distances to get to the library and be told you will not receive help because a specific staff member is on his/her day off. How is this possible? How are residents denied a specific service because other staff members are there, available, some even loitering with seemingly nothing to do when a group of residents is being sent away and denied a service they are entitled to? Is this fair to the residents who pay rates to ensure certain services are available? Funny how it never happens that when one goes to pay rates is never sent away because a certain cashier is on their day off. Those departments are always manned because the municipality benefits but its the other way around when residents have to benefit. I ask that municipal management intervene urgently as this has been going on for some time and some of us have simply run out of patience.
