CITY OF UMHLATHUZE TO CLEAN EMPTY PROPERTY 16 ROBI RIF, BIRDSWOOD, 3900

I have requested the City of uMhlathuze on the 29th of October 2018 via email and fax for Attention Zanele Mtambo ********** asking them to please get someone to clean the empty property at 16 Robin Rif, Birdswood, 3900. She at least answered and forwarded my email to **********

I was told that they have to contact the owner and give them 14 days to come forward. If they don't then the Municipality will get a quote from someone to clean the property. The last time I requested it - it took month's for them to sort this out. It seems the same is going to happen again. The property is so bushy - the ideal place for ********* to hide and to break in at our houses. We already had one break in - and I am afraid it will happen again. We do have a alarm system - but that didn't stop them the last time.

What are the rules when having a empty property? Are the owner not suppose to keep the property clean at all times?
