I cannot comment on the property as the owner refused a reschedule. A reschedule based on the fact that the roads from JHB to Durban were closed from the night of Friday the 20th September to Saturday night, the 21st, due to snow. This meant only being able to drive on Sunday the 22nd to drive back the 24th.

On the morning of the 21st I communicated clearly with the owner that the roads are closed, she said I should take a flight? I mean really? Anyway flights for Saturday were fully booked because so many people were travelling but also the prices were crazy. I then said I needed a car and she said that I can just Uber around???

I tried to reason with her but nothing forthcoming. She said weekends are the only times she makes money. She then said I could depart on Wednesday so an extra day, but i still lost 2 days (bearing in mind that this is now on Monday only), but also only because the booking.com customer service team reached out to her.

I shared this with her and all she did was refer me to the booking.com’s terms and conditions. She spoke about weekends being her only source of income yet the place is constantly booked out. Unfortunately it’s all about money for her and nothing else. She also insinuated that other people were able to travel on Saturday morning, this being completely false, it was those that were rescued from the snow that were able to.

Thank you to booking.com for trying to assist. I would not recommend this property.
