Terrible service Umgankla Solar & Electrical

Do not use this company to do your solar installation.

We had them install a solar system at my elderly mothers house on October 2022 in Modimolle.

After acceptance of the quote the demanded a 80% deposit which was paid.

We then had to wait almost 3 weeks for the installation where they kept on making promises that they will come install. Only after threatening them they actually sent a sub contractor to come and do the installation.

The installation went well and only were completed late in the evening and the installer was in a rush to get home. After leaving he indicated that there was a fault on one of the circuits that will need to be fixed, we then got a local electrician to come and fix the fault.

Two days after the installation the owner called us asking where the remainder of the 20% payment is? We said that we will pay this after all the circuits are on the system. He then pleaded poverty and death in the family and being sympathetic we paid for the system in full. We should never have done this.

After the fix, we asked that they please come and place the circuit now fixed onto the solar system. They then sent us a quote for over R 4000.00 to have this done, claiming it is to far away. It was not to far away for the initial installation when they wanted their money.

We then made an arrangement with the subcontractor to assist a local electrician to add this circuit to the system.

Wel after all of this we have requested a COC (certificate of compliance) from him from day one as specified on the quotation to no avail, we just get empty promises every week that we will receive this.

We paid hundreds of thousands of rands for a system we need to insure but cannot do this as the company does not honor their commitments.

Please do not ever use this company you will be **** to and cheated all the way.
