Bad service

Bought a car from them and the owner told me if there is any problems I should just go and talk to him and he would help me. after 3 weeks with the car the battery died, i got it tested and the results are: state of health [0%] , state of charge [0%], when i asked them for help with replacing the battery [as the law states I have 6 months] then they just told me its wear and tear and they refuse to assist me further in this matter!! no I have a car just standing in my yard with no use as it cant be driven!!!
