False advertising of LED torches;
I saw some adverts of torches too good to be true. High lumen torches at very good prices. They actually were too good to be true! The torch advertised at 6 500 lumen is actually 2 000 per the printing on the packaging. The 3 000 Lumen is actually 800 Lumen according to the pamphlet in the box and the 6 000 Lumen is actually 100 W - says nothing about brightness in Lumen. A true case of too good to be true.

Update (28 July 2026):
Update (28 July 2026): Following my previous update, I eventually received the parcel. The main torch was correct, however the second torch supp**** was not the product that was advertised as part of the combo I purchased. I contacted John and explained that the second torch did not match the advertised product. He responded by advising that he would arrange a courier and asked me to give him until Monday to send the replacement. I accepted this in good faith, thanked him for his response, and waited as requested. After receiving no confirmation of shipment or tracking number, I followed up again on Wednesday and again on Friday. Unfortunately, neither message received a response. As of today, I still have no replacement, no tracking number and no further communication. I am simply requesting that the advertised product I paid for be supp****, or that I receive honest communication regarding the status of the replacement.

Ordered and paid for three torches, only received one without them explaining the reason for not honoring the purchase. Does not reply to emails or WhatsApp, big ****. Rather buy from Takealot and deal with honest people.

Paid in Full, Ignored Completely
On 19 June 2026, I placed Order #8061 for the Ultimate Combo Special – 18000lm + 5000lm Laser LED after the product was displayed as "In Stock" on the Ultimate Torch website. Payment of R1,331.40 was processed immediately, and I received an order confirmation. Since then, I have received: No dispatch confirmation. No tracking number. No update on my order. No response to any of my enquiries. Over the past week, I have made every reasonable effort to contact Ultimate Torch. I have sent multiple WhatsApp messages (all successfully delivered), sent emails, and attempted to call the company on numerous occasions. Every one of these attempts has been ignored. What is most disappointing is not necessarily a delayed delivery—it is the complete lack of communication after accepting a customer's payment. No business should take a customer's money and then go completely silent. A simple message explaining the status of the order or advising of a delay would have been sufficient. Instead, there has been absolute silence despite repeated attempts to make contact. I even sent a final written request, giving Ultimate Torch one last opportunity to respond before posting this review. That message also went unanswered. As a paying customer, I believe I have been more than patient and more than reasonable. I have given Ultimate Torch every opportunity to communicate and resolve this matter privately. Unfortunately, they chose not to. I am posting this review so that other potential customers are aware of my experience before deciding to place an order. Bad bad bad bad, dont buy from them
I have order and paid for 2x 6th June 2026. I recieved order summary Order #7672 (June 6, 2026) that is all. I have sent you whatsaps and mails to no avail. This was a present for my husband. I am on pension, I dont have money to throw around. I need you to refund my money immediately please.

Ultimate Torch from Facebook is a ****!
Placed an order in good faith on the 29th of April 2026, supporting local and I was ****med. So disappointing because it is key to support small local business rather than the huge retailers but unfortunately it was a **** on facebook. I tried to mail several times to *** and ***, got an initial response but then all went dead. I also messaged on +***4, also got an initial response but then again all went dead. I paid via apple pay and received an invoice straight away so all seemed good but its not! There is a ***** behind these torches and they will ***** your money and not deliver anything at all Be aware this is a ****, don't buy anything off a Facebook reel. If it looks cool, go to their website rather and buy directly (but not in this case with ultimate torch, it is all a ****)
