UKZN Administration Department Headache

My daughter is graduating on the 09 May 2023. She received an SMS with the following message; "Dear UKZN Graduate. Your certificate will be withheld due to outstanding fees. For enquries, contact Fees office on your Campus. RefNo: ***.

My daughter phoned *** as was provided. She called and there no response. She called the other number ***. These numbers remain unanswered. I also tried the same numbers with no response.

I then requested my wife to go to your university in person, only to find gate locked at your finance department. As she was driving out a kind hearted security personnel assisted her to get through to your office and she was told that your systems are down, she can e-mail the proof of payment to this e-mail.

I have e-mailed several mails with no response. I have also been to the university and told the same story of systems down. The latest being 02 May 2023. The fees personnel was surprised that they have not done anything as he had sent the information when my wife was there on the 25 April. She promised to escalate it and this does not give me any confidence on her commitment.
