Delay in Receiving PhD Results from UKZN
I am writing this review with immense frustration and disappointment regarding the handling of results by the College of health sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). As a Ph.D. student eagerly awaiting my results, it has now been an agonizing three months since the completion of my examinations, and I have yet to receive any feedback.
Despite numerous emails to the department inquiring about the status of my results, I have been met with vague responses citing a standard six-week turnaround time for markers. While I understand that markers are given a set timeframe, it is unacceptable that this timeframe has been significantly exceeded without any clear explanation or follow-up from the school.
This delay is not only frustrating but also has serious implications for students like myself. It creates uncer*****y and anxiety, especially regarding graduation timelines and financial commitments. Furthermore, the lack of communication and proactive follow-up from the school reflects poorly on their commitment to providing timely and efficient service to students.
I urge the College of Health sciences at UKZN to take immediate action to address this issue. They must ensure that markers and examiners adhere to the guidelines and timelines set forth for result dissemination. Additionally, transparent communication with students regarding the status of their results is crucial to alleviate anxiety and manage expectations.
The delay in receiving results from the School of Clinical Medicine at UKZN is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their commitment to student satisfaction and academic excellence. I hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for the school to prioritize this issue and take concrete steps to improve their processes and communication with students.
