Charge for non delivery

I hired a vehicle for my husband for use in Durban for one day using my credit card. My husband does not have a credit card, so I provided him with a signed letter permitting him to utilise my credit card with a copy of my ID as well as the actual credit card. Rental cars refused to provide him with the vehicle as the card is in my name and not his. My husband then offered to pay cash, which was also denied. WHY???? I have been charged to the vehicle hire but no vehicle was provided. If he had not offered to pay cash instead, I can understand, but I want the money charged on my credit card reversed. This is unacceptable considering that my husband offered other payment alternatives, but was still denied service delivery. As far as I am aware this company is part of the Bidvest Group, not good.
