Maternity benefit taking long and no communication regarding same

I app**** for UIF end of May online and submitted all requested documents via email 05/07/2023. When I call for an update, it's always the same story - "sent to assessor" and they will escalate same for approval. Was eventually told it takes 35 working days, when online it states 5 working days for a maternity claim, nevertheless today is 35 working days later and when I call I am still told the same story of sent to assessor and they will escalate :-(
