My Experience at UCT Online High School as a Member of the Learner Leadership Squad

My experience at UCT Online High School has been about more than academics. Being a member of the Learner Leadership Squad has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my high school journey. It has allowed me to develop my leadership, communication, teamwork and organisational skills while contributing to initiatives that support learners and build a sense of community. Through organising events, developing campaigns and collaborating with other student leaders, I have learnt that online schooling can offer meaningful opportunities beyond the classroom. The experience has given me a platform to use my voice, serve others and make a difference.

However, balancing leadership responsibilities with academic demands, particularly in Grade 12, can be challenging. Effective communication and coordination are essential to making these initiatives successful. Overall, being part of the Leadership Squad has made my online schooling experience more meaningful.
