Communication non-existent
I registered my daughter for the online curriculum for grade 8 2023, while going through the application process, lots of communication via email.and calls with admissions consultants about limited placements. I paid the necessary registration fee and received confirmation that my daughterwas accepted. Then i received an email that i needed to unregistermy daughter from the education department and register her for home schooling. So theough all the communications nothing was ever disclosed regarding registring for home schooling and this was.a very important factor that either i feel uct online should have made part of the application process! And why was this not disclosed upfront...please be vigilant when considering uct online because the communications after registration was very dissappointing. That important factor is only disclosed once payment has been made! DO U REALLY WANT AN INSTITUTION THAT DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO COMMUNICATE TO EDUCATE YOUR CHILD? I therefore cancelled my daughter's application!

Home education registration information is readily available to all current and prospective guardians on our website in the Admissions Policy, the Academic Handbook, and the FAQ document. These resources have been made available to guardians to assist in answering any additional questions that would arise during the enrollment process.
Please note that the registration for home education with your local Provincial Education Department (PED) and the enrollment to UCT Online High School are considered as two separate processes. Our team would be happy to discuss this in more detail with you.
