Unbuntu Building & Renovations

Hello,

Please avoid using Ubuntu Building & Renovations owned by Cole Hodgson. On 07 July 2019 we entered into contract with this business (thankfully I insisted on drawing up a contract). We agreed for home renovations to be completed as per quote received & for the job to be done within 30 days. We had to revise the quote due to numerous errors such as being charged for extra items. Nonetheless the quote was corrected & apology received.

We paid 50% deposit & after 11 days a further 25%. After 26 days into the work, only just over 50% of the work has been completed. Over the last few days he decreased his workmen & everyday took away most of his tools which didn't happen in the first few days of the work. Alas on day 27 he does not pitch up at all & refuses to take our calls & respond to our emails.

During the work he even blamed us for not completing the job stating that he underquoted us & we didn't want to pay the full amount (even though contractually we reserved the last 25% as our security).

We are so disheartened as we had to take out a home loan to do the renovations & have now been ****** by Cole Hodgson. Please avoid the services of Ubuntu Building & Renovations. Poor communication, unreliable, unprofessional & *********.
