Mintys policy

So I was at mintys on Gordon rd .got a quote before I arrived .when I got there I received good service but I have 1 issue I asked for my old tyres back and was charged for them .nowhere that I ever fitted tyres was I charge to take my own property back .so I paid the monies in full incl the money to get my own tyres back .now I take it up with head office and they say that the owner is gone on umrah they will call me back .3 weeks later I don't receive any calls so today I call back speak to the owner and all he can say is it policy I want to know why was I not explained that on the quote .to me this is my tyres I want them back why should I pay anyway I bought them back but does this make any sense let's (just say I buy shoes why should I leave my old pair behind should I not be told or at least have a choice if I want to donate my old shoes to someone) and the answer I get is it's policy.just asking as I need to know clearly as to why I had to buy my own property back or if so what policy is it because the quote never said incl old tyres .come on guys even the battery centres are more clear they tell you before you buy incl only battery .
