Dishonest, wont honour warranty and do not respond to complaints.

I bought a battery from a local Tyres & More (Strijdompark) which failed after 6 months. It has a 12 month warranty, so I went to get a warranty change. However, the branch closed down. I then went to a different brach (20 kms from me!) and asked that they do a warranty replacement. They did not want to honour the warranty, saying they cant do it because the battery supp**** by the Strijdompark branch was not standard! I then proceeded to buy a new battery at a different franchise, and sent the Tyres & More customer service a mail requesting a refund. Ive not heard anything back from them - total silence. How is that for bad service?
