Lying about wheel alignment to get me to buy parts

I hit a pot hole and took my car to Tyres 2000 for my alignment to be checked. They did so and then mentioned to me that my lower control arm was bent and Car Service City next door could give me a good price. They quoted R3000. I found that to be very expensive and when my specialised Peugeot mechanic quoted me R1500 for the same work, I knew something was amiss.<br> <br> I took it to my mechanic and he can see absolutely nothing wrong with the control arm. Furthermore, he took it to a reputable wheel alignment shop and their numbers do not at all correspond with the report that Tyres 2000 gave me.<br> <br> So tell me Tyres 2000, how much of a cut does Car Service City give you to refer clients to them for unnecessary repairs?
