Very Disappointing Experience After 20 Years as a Customer
I had one tyre fitted and another repaired at Tyremart Randpark Ridge. Since then, the tyre-pressure warning light has repeatedly come on in my car.
I went back to the branch and was assured that none of my tyres were faulty — which, as I explained to Eugene, I already knew because I check the tyre pressures every time the warning comes on.
While the car was on the hoist, I was then told that my front shocks needed replacing. My car has only done 32,000 km and had literally just come out of a service, where I would certainly have expected any problem with the shocks to have been identified.
What made this even more concerning was that, when I asked how much the shocks would cost, Eugene couldn’t even give me a price or an approximate cost. I found this extremely odd when I was being told that I needed to replace them.
I have used this branch for at least 20 years, but since it has changed to Tyremart, my experience has been completely different. The atmosphere feels unfriendly and there is a very different vibe. Most importantly, I now feel that I am being encouraged to spend money on parts that I don’t actually need.
My own mechanic has since inspected the car and confirmed that the shocks do NOT need replacing. He has advised me simply to have them checked again at my next service.
Whether this was incompetence or an attempt to sell me unnecessary work, either way it has completely destroyed my trust in this branch.
After 20 years as a customer, I will unfortunately not be returning.
