My car was delivered brand new to me with RUNFLAT tyres. No sparewheel! Upon delivery I was explicitly told that whilst my car is under warranty I should always make sure that the tyres are replaced with runflat tyres. It is sad that I had to find out today that Tyremart fitted my car with incorrect tyres - twice. I would have unknowingly in the case of an accident be thinking that I could drive at least another 80km to a safe location - and then made a big accident because I would have continued driving with a normal tyre. Or I would have taken my car back to Mercedes and found out that my warranty expired due to the incorrect tyres that was fitted - without me having any knowledge of this incorrect replacement. Last year I had one tyre replaced due to a puncture (I asked for exactly the same tyre as the one on at the time) - I was under the impression the EXACT same runflat was fitted - what else would I mean with exactly the same tyre? I then replaced my two front tyres 1 Feb 2018 - only 20 days ago - again I asked for exactly the same tyres - RUNFLAT tyres. I would think that when tyres are removed they would see the difference between a runflat and a normal tyre. So basically they removed my RUNFLAT tyres and replaced with normal tyres - not telling me. Both times at the same branch. Well today - as I got out of my car my eye caught a large bubble on the sidewall of the front tyre - the newly fitted tyre. I was quite upset when I noticed this as I drive on the high way to work - and there are no potholes in sight. So how did that bubble get there? And how does this happen to a runflat tyre?? I immediately went back to Tyremart. On inspection of the tyres by one of the employees - I was told that these tyres were not runflat tyres!! I actually argued with him, because I knew the car had runflat tyres originally and I fitted these new tyres only 20 days ago with EXACTLY the same tyres - or so I was told. Then I found out that only the one original tyre left - was indeed a runflat. They fitted an incorrect tyre last year (with the puncture incident) - and again the incorrect tyres this year! How did they make this mistake twice!! The worst part is even though it was their fault that they fitted three incorrect tyres - they now want me to pay to fit new runflats! I am not happy with this and advise everyone who reads this to rather go to another fitment centre. NOT tyremart. You would think your family is safe and if you ever sustained damage to one of your tyres that you could drive to a safer location and have it sorted out, but then ending up in a big accident with loved ones lost. What a disgrace Tyremart.
