************, threatening behaviour and racial comments! Tygervalley Mall Security.

After shopping at this mall for years (as we stay right up the road from it), I will never support them again.

On Saturday 19 December 2020 we went to the mall to do Christmas and other shopping, as well as grab a bite to eat (as we do every weekend).

Upon finishing our shopping, we paid for the roof parking and came out to our vehicle. My wife was changing shoes, so I stood outside the car waiting for her... Upon which we were approached by some “***boy” mall security guard; who then proceeded to tell us that “The owner of the mall does not like people to sit in their cars, outside the mall and that we better move along”.

He then proceeded to ask me whether I had any weapons on me. I explained to him that I carry a concealed and licensed firearm for work purposes; after which he starts telling me that he knows why I am irritated with them, that it is because it’s political (me being white and him and his partner being African). - Not sure what he meant by the comment, as I hadn’t even been arguing with him, or his friend for that matter.

He then goes on to tell me that I am lucky it’s him I am dealing with and not one of the other Tygervalley Mall security guys, as they would have shot me, for carrying a concealed weapon (whilst him and his little friend shows me their firearms)... This all in front of my wife and minor son!

I have browsed their Facebook page (as well as the Hello Peter site) and this seems to be the normal thing that happens regularly at this establishment.

With the above in mind, I would strongly suggest that someone from management makes contact with me earliest, or I will be taking the matter further.
