TAH Kloof a Ripp Off

Pets are like kids but when you receive an account for R3,537-40 for five stitches to stitch up a dog whom have been nicked at the doggie parlor then it becomes really hectic. The nick was severe enough to warrant stitches and the parlor is willing to pay, but this is absolute ******* especially when you have the account accessed by another competent veterinarian whom inform you that the work could have been executed for R1200-R1500. Questions are asked as to why the dog had to be given general anesthesia and not be sedated with local anesthesia, but I am obviously no expert and therefore should not query the scalpel used to do stitches but do want to know why a consultation of R498 is charged on top of the 10min in surgery at R719. From talking to other residents in Greenpoint it is obvious that you do not get out of TAH Kloof for under R3000 irrespective of the treatment. Unfortunately after 20 years we have no realized that we should go looking for another vet as we cannot afford TAH anymore. LJ le Roux
