2nd Bad experience at TAH Bellville. they claim that it is not their normal practice, but from the below reviews it seems this is just their standard. i took my baby (6month old Bull Terrier Roxy) for sterilization. after i completed the consent forms and emailed it back to them, my husband had to complete the forms AGAIN, with admission. 1stly, they were unable to handle her (a puppy) to give the injections she needed. she was then admitted with a jab in the bum, and not the neck. i then phoned the practice to ensure they do not charge me for a colar, as 1stly, i have one at home, nd 2ndly, there would be no way that little inflexile body could reach the stitches. we were phoned to collect Roxy, and arrived at the practice 15 minutes early. on arrival, we reported at the reception and a young girl collected the account, told us the amount, and handed us tablets and told us to wait after we paid. the next moment, a nurse came out carrying Roxy, When seeing us, she became lively, and i had to quicly take her from the nurse, as she was unable to keep her, and i was scared she would fall. At this point, no one discussed medication, procedures going forward, post op requirements, nothing!! my poor dog wa so traumatised. My husband then went back as her vet card had not even been updated, we did not see the doctor, and to return the collor which i specifically ordered not to inlcude. the uneducated receptionist then in a raised voice instructed my husband (her client) infront of all the other people to just go a put it on, apparantly Roxy had already tried to pull out her s****hes. NO WAY. but pay for the collor i had to pay. seems money is all they think about. IN HELL can that little body reach. So, with that, we left the practice. serioulsy upset and dissapointed. on arrival at home, my dog was crying non-stop. I phoned the practice and requested the dr to please phone me. thereafter the doctor phoned and the practice manager phoned to apologise. damage has been done. second time i ahve had terrible service. 1st when i had my kitten Lilly sterilized, Due to possibly incorrectly administerd annestacia, she ended up with an abcess on her eyeball. what a terrible terrible experience. never again will i visit that practice, and i will tell anybody i can, not to! to think i entrusted my dog and cat's lives to them!!!
