BEWARE! THIS COMPANY CHARGES EXCESSIVELY PER ITEM, NOT PER VOLUME.

The one star I've given is for Givemore and his team who were really wonderful on moving day. Unfortunately the company lets them down BADLY. First, the quote! What a mess-up!! I went to an inordinate amount of trouble to measure every, single piece of furniture to be moved - something remarked upon by the lady doing the quote. I filled in the standard quote request and found that some of my items didn't fit into their descriptions so I phoned the lady I'd spoken to first and discussed it with her in detail. This discussion was reflected on the list Givemore brought with him on removal day. but those special items were not included in the move for some reason, although I had been charged for them. Only eg. half a lounge suite, no beds, 1 of 3 chests of drawers were reflected on the "list". Most of my other furniture was also not on this infamous "list". Why, I simply don't know as when I and other members of their staff looked, my original request for a quote had disappeared. This was very suspicious to me. It didn't make sense that I would not ask for all the things to be quoted on and moved at the same time. BE VERY CAREFUL - THIS COMPANY CHARGES PER ITEM. THAT MEANS THAT A SHOEBOX IS CHARGED AT THE SAME RATE AS A LARGE CARTON. I had mentioned the size of some of my boxes before to the same lady doing the quote and she never once mentioned that it would be considered just one more item. My first quote from this company was R8650, which seemed reasonable for the number of items I had to move. Little did I know that the price was for a fraction of the number I had originally requested a quote for. When I was asked to submit my list of items again, the next quote was R20,000.00. So, had I been foolish enough to ask them to just load up everything on the day, I would have been paying nearly R30,000.00 for a small household of goods to be transported to a place 3 hours away. The company which eventually took my things charged me only R7700 for the items TMT quoted me R20,000 for and did an excellent job of it. There was no acknowledgement of error on the part of TMT with the insinuation that the problem was all my own fault. Thank goodness Givemore and his team were so pleasant and kind or it would have been a move from Hell.
