Called 5.30 to open a security gate which had jammed in the passage between the living area and the bedrooms. Call out fee was quoted as R195. Very pleasant young man came to do the job. arrived about 6:45. Opened the gate took about 35minutes. did not repair it as did not have the spares for that particular gate. Phoned his boss for the amount he needed to charge. How about R2295 plus callout Total Bill R2490. I am a pensioner and still need to get the spares and have the gate repaired. Checked other locksmiths who quoted me R750 and R1000 for the same afterhours job. Be warned.
