Twisp Vesa Button not Working after 5 months and not covered by "warranty"

I bought a Twisp Vega 5 months ago, initially it was working fine, but I must say after a whilst I was very disappointed, the atomizer. I actually stopped smoking it and wanted to go over to another vaping company, as I bought their most expensive product and it didn't deliver.

I passed a Twisp stand a few days ago at Shelly Beach Mall and saw they had the new Nimbus tank, I tried it and I was very impressed, I immediately bought one. I must say the Nimbus tank does provide a nice vaping experience.

5 days after I bought the Nimbus tank I sat on the couch vaping and suddenly I saw the Wattage on the screen increasing to 80 watt, I tried to put it down, but it seems as if the plus button was stuck, It I presses the minus button it just locked the screen. So I just left it over night. The next morning it seemed as if the plus button has stopped working and the lock was also on, so I could only use the vape on maximum wattage, which was very unpleasant. To me it seemed quite obvious that the issue was with the Vega and that the button obviously stopped working, so I went to the Twisp stand in Shelly Beach Mall as my device was only 5 months old and it has a 6 Month "Warranty".

So I spoke to the person at the stand, and he pointed a very small, maybe 0.3 mm dent on the corner which occurred when I dropped the Vega approximately 3 months ago, and according to him, that is the reason for the button not working. Well any person can see that that very minor microscopic dent has nothing to do with the button not working, it is clearly just an excuse they are using to not live up to their 6 month warranty promise. Why would the Vega keep on working for 3 months with a microscopic dent and then suddenly the button would get stuck.

Well after debating with the person at the stand he called hit area manager, well this guy was even less helpful, very witty and extremely arrogant. His tone of voice was very aggressive and he even made me feel as if I was on trial, and he was the lawyer and the judge. According to him, the microscopic dent that, which he didn't even see with his own eyes is the cause of the button not working.

Well seriously Twisp, if you have a 6 month warranty, you should really live up to it, I mean a button not getting stuck and not wanting to work is obviously some issue on the inside PC board, not because of a microscopic dent. I already bought the device once, and I supported you guys by sticking to Twisp and buying the Nimbus tank, against my better judgement. Just live up to your warranty and replace my Vega battery. It seems like customer satisfaction is very low on the to do list for Twisp.

The guy at the stand reset my Vega battery and now I can only vape it on the lowest wattage, 20W, which makes minimum smoke, I can just as well not vape.

I will attach an image of the minor dent that miraculously 3 months after it happened made the button stop working.

It has been two day’s since my complaint and your comment the issue and no one has contacted me. Once again poor customer service. I am seriously considering buying a new vape from another conpany, even though I already spent more than R 7000 at Twisp, you are about to love a good customer. If you are brave enough to put a warranty on your product dont look for excuses not to live up to it, be brave enough to stand by it. I am really disappointed.

Well at last I received a call from Twisp, not that it was very helpful. Nevertheless I already went to Vape King and purcgased a new device. I purchaced the Vapresso Swag and have come to the realization that the Vega was way overpriced and the performance was poor. The Vapresso only cost me R 950 including a tank similar to the Nimbus Tank but better, and a MOD with more features than the Vega and a replacable battery, where a Vega MOD and Nimbus Tank will cost you R 1600. The e-liquids sold by Twisp for the Nimbus tank is also very expensive as a 50 ml bottle of Twisp e-liquid costs R300 and a 120 ml of top of the range internasionally e-liquid imported from the USA costs just R 450. I have thus come to the conclusion that Twisp is entering the vaping market and they are still playing catch-up with the established vaping companies at the expence of their customers. Well the conclusion from my Vega MOD button that did not work was once again the same, they will not live up to their warranty due to the small dent on the corner, they say I have to bring it to the counter so that they can see how they can fix it for me but they will not replace it. I will not do that as I do not want to do any further business with this company. My personal opinion, don’t waste your money on Twisp for a vaping experience as they will dissapoint and over charge you, support a well established company. I am so glad that I never have to support them again.
