Poor workmanship and an even worse business etic - TV Mecca

After having a Smart tv repaired at a cost of R****. The TV returned to us with bright lights shining through the back ground. When we asked the Owner/Repairman Corrie about it he said it is a common problem of LG tv's and our eyes will get used to it -(LG PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE REVIEWS YOUR PRODUCTS GET FROM THIS REPAIR SHOP) Not Accepting this I took the set back to TV Mecca - after telling the owner that the work is unacceptable and if he can not fix the problem I will take the set to someone else to repair and to review his work. He reluctantly agreed to look at the set again. We received a call the following day stating that they found a problem and and a spare has been ordered. However no mention was made of any new spares when we went to collect the TV - instead I was told that the lights were loose oh yeah and a funny part is that some of it was lying in the bottom of the casing -this my problem due to transportation I was also told how arrogant I was for insisting that the TV had to be repaired correctly in the first place. I have clips of these conversations available if need be, I was also quoted for a mother board replacement and a power supply replacement, How ever the invoice states - repaired power supply and control circuit. I also have another persons details that also suffered the same bad treatment, who decided to rather buy a new TV than to be bul**** by the shop owner again - if need be. Save your elf from being ********** and bul**** as a client. Stay away from TV MECCA

Dear Mr Karl M
Thank you for the opportunity to state our side “about your bad experience at TV Mecca”
Just to put things straight:-  The unit was repaired for your complaint – only standby.  We replaced the power supply and main pc board (commonly referred to as control circuit). Please note to do this repair does not involve working on the panel.  After the repair the set was tested in our workshop for you/your father and you were happy with the repair.  There were no white lights shining through the background.
And yes, for the LED lenses to become loose and falling off is a common occurrence, not only on the LG brand,  but some others brands as well.  It was explained to you that the initial repair did not include working on the panel or backlights.  Nobody told you that your eyes will get used to it.  As per your explanation of the symptom, it sounded as if you were observing the clouding effect however once we inspected your television we found that it was indeed lenses getting loose and two was off and lying loose inside the panel. And as stated, this set was transported by you, not in original packaging, but in the back of a bakkie unsupported, and this could easily have led to the lenses getting loose and falling off.
Another correction - never was a “spare” ordered but a special glue to re-glue these backlight lenses.  We did not charge you for this extra repair.
Unfortunately having an attitude and attacking someone’s character the way that you did, will create a situation, your clips will confirm who the real bully was.
