Disgusted in Turkish Airlines for over booking and canceling emergency flight

Had a reservation to fly yesterday to go to my mom who is critically ill with cancer. We have been told to come to her. After driving to the airport in heavy fog, getting there early to make sure we don't miss our flight due to it being an Easter weekend. We booked in. 20 minutes later after my husband and my luggage was checked in we were called to the desk to say our 2nd l connection flight by Turkish airline has been cancelled with no reason as to why. After hours of trying to get another flight, ofwhich there was none available for this time, we had to settle for a flight 2 days later later. In this time we overheard that another flight for the next day was overbooked by more or less 50 people!! This I most likely was the exact reason our flight was 'canceled'! We would have landed in Johannesburg from Eu already but are still waiting for our next flight for tomorrow only. Since then my mom has got worse and is now being taken to hospital! I am unable to be with my critically ill Mom because Turkish Airlines canceled our flight and most likely because overbooked flights to reach profit margins!!!!! Disgusting!!!! We also had to drive an hour and half back home late last night after our flight was canceled in mist so thick down the mountain that we actually had to use Google to navigate the road!!!! Never been so stressed, emotional and in tears, sad!!! We also had to incur extra expenses on a connection flight that we couldn't catch once we landed. We always travel Turkish if we can, now to be treated like this!!! Not by the booking agents as they were trying to help us but by the airline who has most likely allegedly overbooked and accepted bookings just to turn people away at the airport!!!!!!!!! Disgusting, people don't just fly for holidays they fly for emergencies!!!! ....
