Bad product followed by Bad Service

Tupperware South Africa seems to be one of the biggest ****s around. They behave in a duplicitous manner when it comes to South African consumers and abuse our intelligence into believing that their product are durable and is ceaseless. After all the company does promise ‘Lifetime Quality Guarantees for more than 50 years, so you can buy with confidence’, what a load of horse@#$%.

Consumers need to realise that this statement is just that…only a statement, with a lifetime guarantee that is completely worthless. The best part is Tupperware is getting away with its deception and deceits, and the fact of the matter is, their products are of an mediocre quality. As soon as a problem arises, the blame is shifted onto the buyer who is accused of product misuse and abuse.

I find that the integrity of the company as a whole quite dubious and disingenuous

I have two exact same products, both cracked and broken in almost the same spot, obviously stemming from materials of a shoddy quality. I had in years prior bought similar products and they are still going strong almost 15 years later.

My question is quite simple Tupperware, what are consumers rights in a case where a product that should not break or crack, does actually break and crack?.

Truth be told, when I visited the distributor, I was accused of abusing the products and of letting the products fall. Seriously, BOTH PRODUCTS HAVE FALLEN AND CRACKED, not one but both …and what your representatives are saying is that there is absolutely no way that the fault lies with the defective product?, regardless of the fact that the cracks are almost on the same spot?. Sounds like your company has a strategy of not wanting to assist. Has this policy been mandated from levels above?

When that didn’t sit well with your manager who refused to understand logic, I was then accused of overloading the product. Firstly Tupperware, teach your distribution ,managers some client liaison s****s, secondly teach them some manners on how to deal with fellow humans (not necessarily Tupperware customers, but humans as a whole). Kindly offer a reasonable explanation as to how one can overload a tupperware when there is capacity for only so much volume?, unless that was an admission from your manager that the product is in fact of a substandard quality and cannot hold much!.

The above would be only 2 complaints I have with you, I also possess Tupperware where the lids no longer fit ( how is this even possible, does the Tupperware shrink after a while?). Don’t get me started on the bottles that leak…

Tupperware is misleading its customers and selling a product that is not up to scratch. You should employ strict impact tests and then make statements like lifetime guarantee etc…

Tupperware, you are welcome to visit me at my home sometime, I actually have a dedicated cupboard full of Tupperware bought over the years, my biggest regret in all of these purchases, is that you do not live up to your reputation and display extremely poor customer service.
