Service delivery and support still does exist
My wife bought a NISSAN Livina 2nd hand recently and during December 2015 the battery died on us. I replaced the battery but did not keep in mind that I will loose the radio code. After replacing the battery the radio needed the code obviously. Frantically we searched all the available papers but could not find anything. We phoned the dealership where we bought the vehicle but they were of NO help. Phoning NISSAN customer care, the only answer we got was to take the car to a dealer which will charge us R850 and they will give us the code. At this point I was seriously considering buying another radio, at least I could see where my money went. I got a tip from a friend to phone National Car Corporation in Rosslyn and speak to Demar, the workshop manager. Upon phoning him I was told that I should bring in the vehicle for 20 mins so that he can get the radios serial number, I told him that I have already taken pictures of the radio and will send it to him with the VIN number. Within 2 hours I received the radio code and punched it in. This after a month of struggling, calls and emails sent. THANK YOU Demar, you really went the extra mile to achieve customer service.
