Very very unhappy. Tsongas not good quility shoes. Never buy it

. I would like to give you an option of having them repaired, but before doing so, I would like to give you some product information to help you understand the materials that the soles of your shoes are made with, which will help you understand how and why this has happened to the soles of your shoes.

What is PU?

PU stands for polyurethane, and it’s a lightweight durable plastic material from which the soles of shoes are often made. Not only is PU very lightweight, it’s also flexible which enhances comfort levels. PU is the only material that gives the shock absorbing and flexible characteristics that we require of our shoes, in order to keep your feet and joints comfortable.

Although a highly durable material, if stored for prolonged periods of time without wear, it can be prone to a process known as hy****ysis which is the chemical breakdown of a compound due to reaction with moisture (humidity). Depending on the climate in which you live, humidity and extreme temperatures changes can exacerbate the chances of it happening.

The best way to prevent it from happening is to wear your shoes as often as possible as the act of wearing them puts pressure on the soles and squeezes out any absorbed moisture, which would otherwise subtly break apart the foam-like structure. And, when they are not being worn, to store your shoes in a well-ventilated area. To give you an idea that although this is a 'side-effect', if you will, of polyurethane, it happens to a very small percentage of the shoes we manufacture. Cracked or disintegrating soles is not a problem faced only by Tsonga, but rather something that happens to shoes made by the world's top comfort footwear brands. Within the shoe sector, polyurethanes are found in a wide range of footwear types.

How to minimise the chances of hy****ysis:

Clean the PU soles, and leather uppers, with a damp cloth (free of any other cleaning chemicals) before putting your shoes away. Allow to air in a well ventilated area before storing. A light application of linseed oil on the soles will also help for them to look good. Every time you wear your shoes, they gather dust and dirt, which prevents them from looking their best and reduces their life.Don’t save your shoes for a special occasion. Tsonga shoes are designed to be worn as often as possible.

Back to your boots. It is possible to re-sole your VUTHA boots and there are two ways in which this can be done:

If you take your boots to a Tsonga Concept Store, they will send the boots to us with their next dispatch to Head Office, we will re-sole and return to the store where you may collect and pay – the price for this is R350.00 per pair. I need to make you aware that our repairs process is still very slow and the factory is working through the backlog before attending to new requests. Once here your boots will wait in the queue and once into the factory the turnaround time is approx. 6-8 weeks.

Good day

I message on Facebook. They refered me to you.

I already complaind about shoes. I had 3 pairs of slipp ons shoes. The soles torn and was like desolving like I walked on coles. I threw it away. No again with my 2 pair of boots. Black and brown. The soles crack the whole leather torned.

Can you tell me why it happens all the time. Other wise I will never buy it again if its like that and will refer no one to buy Tsongas. Mabe you can meet me halfway to fix this problem. I mean 5 pairs. It cost R2000 a pair. I wear it at work now today the brown ones aswell busy getting lose. How does that look to pasient that I wear broken shoes. Please contact me asap
