POPIA violations and rude

Received a cold call for a "South African survey". I asked who it was on behalf of and how they are able to do this under POPIA. The caller insisted it was legal and I insisted it was not, and asked where they got my number from, without getting a clear response. After three minutes I asked for my number to be removed from their system, at which point the caller lost her temper and accused me of wasting her time, which was incredible, given that they are cold calling people in the middle of the work day.
