TRUE WOOD ISNT TRUE

I bought a R14000 "solid wood" (as advertised) desk from Truewood in Mall of he South mid 2022. App**** the liquid polish in December when on leave, and took out the drawers to polish them only to find that the carcasses are constructed of chipboard. Approached the shop before Christmas to complain. Someone from True Wood contacted me in January who tried to convince me that their "engineered wood" was better than solid wood, but I insisted that I wanted solid wood drawers and I would take the risk of warping. I was subsequently contacted by Hannes the logistics manager and we had the same discussion. I told him there were only 2 acceptable outcomes in my book - either they replace the drawers with solid wood ones or there must be a financial arrangement, ie a partial refund. Three weeks ago he said he would discuss this with the owner Fritz, who would contact me. Not a word since then so I take it they arent interested in resolving this issue. I bought the desk believing that it is a solid wood piece of furniture (and have proof of this in their advert on their website and in a flier that was given to me)
