Truehost Has Kept My Website Down for Nearly Four Hours Despite My Account Being Up to Date
I am extremely disappointed with Truehost's service and the unacceptable manner in which my issue has been handled.
My hosting account is up to date, yet my website and its subdomains remain non-functional. Since approximately 18:00, I have been trying to get this issue resolved. It is now 21:54 approaching 22:00, and nearly four hours later, my websites are still down.
What makes this experience particularly frustrating is the complete lack of meaningful communication and accountability from the support team.
I have been engaging with support representatives, including Peter M, who repeatedly assure me that the team is working on the matter. I have been told to "worry less" and to be patient, but these reassurances have not translated into a working website or a clear explanation of what is happening.
I have repeatedly requested a progress update and a turnaround time. I want to know what technical work has been completed, what is preventing the restoration, and when my websites will be accessible again. Instead, I continue to receive generic responses without any substantive information.
How can my hosting account be up to date while my website remains inaccessible for hours, with no clear explanation or resolution timeframe?
This is not merely an inconvenience. I have work to deliver to my client, and this prolonged outage has wasted valuable working hours and affected my ability to fulfil my professional responsibilities. My client's time is precious, and I cannot afford to spend an entire evening chasing a hosting provider for a service that should be working.
The continued silence on actual progress also raises serious concerns about the state of my hosting account and website data. I need confirmation that my website files and databases remain intact, together with a clear explanation of the technical steps required to restore service.
I expect Truehost management to take responsibility and provide: An explanation for why my website and subdomain remain inaccessible despite my account being up to date, a factual report of the technical work completed so far, a confirmation that my website files and databases remain intact, a clear and realistic timeframe for full restoration and a direct accountability from the technical specialist or manager handling the matter.
Repeatedly telling a customer to be patient is not effective support. Customers deserve transparency, accountability, and timely solutions, particularly when an outage directly affects their professional commitments.
Truehost, I need answers, not another "worry less" message. Nearly four hours have been lost, my client's time has been wasted, and I still have no working website or meaningful update.
I expect an urgent response from management explaining what has gone wrong, what has been done to resolve it, and when my website and subdomain will be restored.
