Attempting to put me under debt review without informed consent

Got a random call from this company offering to help lower my interest rates on my credit accounts. I needed to give them permission to access my records for free and so I did. But with free things I realise there is always a catch. So immediately I start thinking that what they're actually offering is to put me under debt review, however they never disclose or inform me of this clearly. I had another appointment so ducked out the call to do more research and yes, from looking further researching they are wanting to put me under debt review. These call centres really behave like ****my salesman and I don't appreciate it.
