Telkom’s /Trudon’s misleading phone sales practice

Trudon called my company and my wife (which is not an employee)answered the phone. The conversation with the sales agent was casual about us advertising our company. It turned out that this was taken as an authorisation to advertise with Trudon. No period or cost of the ad was mentioned. I have not seen any proof of the ad or invoices. 4 months later I received the first statement for 2 electronic ads monthly. I ignored it as spam, since I was not aware of anything like that. Another 2 statements followed. I tried to call the listed number without getting an answer. A month later I received a final reminder and notice of blacklisting. Queried it and was sent a voice recording of the telephone conversation. I immediately paid the full outstanding amount, since I recognised my wife’s voice. I sent a mail with proof of payment and requested the immediate cancellation. I also requested acknowledgment of receipt and my cancellation. I requested any future communication must be in writing via email. No reply, until today when a dept collection company contacted me via sms , requesting the same amount. It is shocking that a big company like Telkom uses this kind of business practices. I feel ****med, never wanted this ‘services’ want a refund.
