******** & **********

A Trudon sales rep contacts our butchery from a horrible line. One of our employees answers the phone. She asks to speak to the owner (she however mentions the name of the previous owners) Our employee mentions that the business was taken over by new owners. The rep then says: OK so you are the person to speak to? Our employee says yes, you can speak to me. The rep says she is calling with regards to our business details to make sure that it is STILL correct AND THEN VERY QUICKLY AND INCOHERENTLY rambles something about a listing (I have listened to the voice recording about 100 times and I still cannot make out what she is saying)

She then starts to ramble through our business details very quickly and incoherently. The employee, barely able to hear what she says, kindly says yes a couple of times and answers her questions (it is evident that he is busy and just wants to get off the line) Then she mentions something about a telkom account and says something about R538 and then immediately rambles on about how to change our details (I had to listen to the recording again and again to hear that she dropped an amount of R538 in there)

Our employee thought this was merely a call to check if details were still correct. He did NOT know this was a call to sign up for new service! Now according to them this is a binding contract!

We were NEVER contacted directly to authorize this (as the business owners and account holders) and Nothing was signed. I have seen many complaints on Hello Peter about the exact same thing, and I see one person mentioning a class action lawsuit.
