Non existing comunicatiopn with Tru-Temp or Daikin Air cocs

TRU-TEMP 1 x Daikin Mid-wall split air conditioning unit 12 Btu Invoiced. No 211137I 1 April 2016 Payment Made on 6 April 2016 R 12038.40

With reference to the air conditioner I purchased from Tru-Temp. The day the air-conditioner was installed, I was surprised to find out that the company I had ordered the unit from, and the company fitting the air con was different companies. Companies selling air cons, can use installation companies to do the fitting on their behalf which is commonly done if informed to the client. Luhan Steenkamp (sales representative) who quoted for the air con unit, informed me that they only do their own fitting as stated on there quote To confirm his poor knowledge I measured the room and explained to him that a 12000 Btu unit will not be sufficient and that the real one I needed was a 14000 Btu which does not exist He claimed that a 18000 Btu would be applicable for my living area. I contacted him after two full days for the quote in question for 18000 Btu, he apologized for the delay, which was due the secretary typing the quotes, who was very busy. She was working on it right away.why make his company problems my problems ? When I received the quote it was for 12000 Btu units. I phoned him to ask why 12000 Btu was quoted for and not 18000 Btu units, he informed me that his boss said a 12000 Btu will be fine .

On the Friday very early I phoned him to get an installation date that day still to plan the following week. He promised to come back to me the same day. Obviously that never materialized with my experience of Luhan. He got back to me the Monday for installation date which I accepted.I am further surprised at the tools which was used by the installation people, no core drill for this type of installation. (The man doing the installation told me that he was going to purchase a core drill and he also informed me that Tru -Temp expected him to take his company's name off his vehicle can you believe this). Installers had to make use of my vacuum cleaner which was obviously not suitable for this purpose. The man fitted the unit and asked me to sign papers. He informed me that a Quality Controller (I suppose to check his installation) would deliver the manual and guarantee papers in person and to check on my satisfaction. (are they serious) Our retirement village only use this company so I had no choice. The only good choice I made was to inform my daughter who lives in 30 Alexander street Oranjezicht to stay away from this air con company. They did renovations and were in the market for air cons.

The reason why I only complain only now, is that on Friday night the Daikin unit made a very funny noise and I had to switch it off. On Sa****ay I switched the unit on it was working again.(for how long) I went to Daikin's web page to obtain a manual for our unit

The Quote from Tru-Temp came with three pages on the quote stating the follow "Success Through Service"( are they serious) Our service and repair staff of 270 years with a full time Quality Control Manager(where is these people) to ensure that our quality are maintained. Where is the Quality Control Manager ?????????????????

In conclusion the company who fitted the air con was a more reliable company than Tru-Temp from whom we ordered this unit. I suggest to Tru-Temp to live up to there advertising campaign and train the salesman to tell the truth and obtain product knowledge instead of telling me how busy they are selling units due to the high demand.

I never forget a company, but I will make an exception with Tru-Temp.
