Nimal Thupsee aka Thupsee Corporation aka Tru- Blue Pools and Gardens

At the outset to avoid any confusion I wish to clarify that my review is about a business operated by an individual named Nimal Thupsee aka Thupsee Corporation. The name of the Business is Tru - Blue Pools and Gardens. The name of business in my view is less important as it can always be changed and there may be other professional businesses operating with very similar names.

I am surprised that there is just one other review about this individual and/or entity. I can only imagine that it is much like many other aspects of life where the reported experiences are just the tip of the ice berg as compared to the real number of experiences.

There is a myriad of problems as relates to our experience with this individual. As context we required an awning with ceiling boards to be erected adjacent to our pool entertainment area together with a fibre glass refurbishment of our pool and the addition of a water feature. First and foremost there is nothing that Mr Thupsee cannot do even beyond pools. He can do anything and everything as relates to talking about it. Red flag number 1. Perception is very different from reality. Our experience has shown he has very limited knowledge of constructing an awning and outsources all his work to substandard contractors who you have to constantly watch. As with everything he uses the cheapest materials available to see if things work contrary to recommendations by his contractors. The end result is that it does not. In our instance the awning actually collapsed entirely and had to be rebuilt with additional materials. Red flag 2. He talks the talk but fails time and again to walk the talk In terms of Timings To put it bluntly he does not and cannot commit to any timelines for completion. Once you allow this individual into your life you are probably going to have him in your life for months on end as the work never ever seems to get close to completion. Your home will look like a war zone with incomplete work everywhere. Nothing is started and finished off entirely. He starts with one thing and before completing it then starts on something else so you end up with tons of Incomplete things. Logical thinking seems to evade him. A big contribution to the above is the fact that he wants payment but never uses the payments to purchase the required materials this despite confirming and promising that the goods and materials have been ordered and are on its way. ( I will address the deceit and dishonesty at the end of my review) He will tell you the materials have been ordered but can never produce an invoice or the contact names and numbers of the suppliers that he has ordered the materials from. This happens time and time again. As an example he quoted us on Aluminium sheeting but delivered Chromodek. He lies so profusely that he does not even keep up with his lies himself. Wrt the aluminium sheeting he told me he purchased it from Highway Aluminium who seemed to have closed down with no answer from them. A few weeks later when he needed an additional sheet he tells you it all came from a Totally different supplier. It is just ridiculous. Another example is tiles and cladding. He tells you he is at the supplier and needs to pay them ASAP to secure the tiles etc and you pay him. The tiles/cladding never arrives. Another famous MO is his ability to bamboozle you with the facade of doing work. On numerous occasions work will be done the entire day but it would amount to very little and an insignificant amount of work. On other occasions the work can’t be completed because there is a shortage of sand and or other materials so the the workers finish up within an hour and a bit and stand idle for the rest of the day. When eventually he has no excuses for things not arriving then starts the radio silence. For weeks on end he will not answer your call. So you have to get clever and get your father in law or mother in law to call him. He takes the call from them but then will start with more lies to them. So let me share some of the lies and excuses he has shared with us. He also intimated to us that his child was being treated for cancer which I see according to the other review allegedly may not be true. Two days ago he also told us he has COVID which I find hard to reconcile as this would be a second time he has got it in 6 months....it appears to have become his go to excuse. When I confronted him on the unlikeliness that he could have COVID twice, all of a sudden the COVID disappeared and was replaced with another lie.. “a client sent some henchmen who took my lcv away so I don’t have any transport”. These are just some of the extraordinary lies beyond the day to day common ones like, “I am on my way to you”, “I will be there just now” or “I will call you back”.

To conclude my advice to anyone thinking of dealing with this individual is to STAY AWAY AND STAY VERY FAR AWAY. Don’t cause yourself unnecessary stress and angst. Make no mistake he can be very convincing but resist all attempts to fall for his lies and deceit. Please don’t make the mistake of falling for any of it. People of Mr Nimal Thuspse’s ilk must be exposed on every possible platform, so be aware
