Call Centre **** Alert

This business lures young people into a Call Centre environment, with the promise of an R8000 basic salary per month plus commission for selling a product which has not had good reviews. There is no contract in place between employee and employer, everything is done verbally. Staff are not paid during the initial "training period", neither have they been paid their basic salary after the 1st month. Some staff have left en-masse and were given R500 in cash. I am sure the cycle of exploitation just gets repeated. Labour laws are being flouted....
