Incomplete property
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Trilelo Projects regarding a property we were due to move into on 1 September 2026. On Monday, 24 August 2026, we paid R2,500 to secure the property. On 29 August 2026, I paid a further R16,000 towards the rent and balance of the deposit, followed by another R500 payment later that same day. We have therefore paid a total of R19,000. We made these payments in good faith and made arrangements for our family to move into the property on the agreed occupation date. However, despite having paid the required amounts, the agent has failed to properly facilitate access to the property for inspection and has been extremely difficult to reach. We have repeatedly contacted her by phone and WhatsApp, but our calls and messages have not been responded to timeously. There are also outstanding matters we were advised would be attended to before occupation, including cleaning, cleaning the stove, painting, repairs to the cupboards and sliding door, and removal of beds/items from the property. We were specifically assured that the beds/items would be removed, yet we have had to continue following up. We have a family to move and made arrangements based on the agreed 1 September occupation date. Having paid R19,000, it is extremely frustrating to be left without proper communication, access for inspection or cer*****y about whether the property is ready for occupation. We have now had to consider arranging our own labour and purchasing cleaning materials, despite these matters being expected to be dealt with before occupation. We have advised the agent that any costs incurred will be invoiced to the relevant parties. This situation has caused significant stress, inconvenience and potential additional financial costs. We have fulfilled our financial obligations, yet we have not received the same level of urgency and professionalism from the agent. We have retained proof of payment, WhatsApp correspondence, photographs and other documentation relating to this matter. This is our genuine first-hand experience with Trilelo Projects, and we are extremely disappointed with how the matter has been handled.
