Tribes ruined my Anniversary

<p>I would like to complain about Emperors Palace for ruining my Anniversary. My husband paid a fortune for us to stay at the Peermont Mondior Hotel and to enjoy a meal at the Tribes restaurant. It is called the Tribes African Dinner date package. What a waste of money. </p> <p>First we arrived at the "4star" Mondior hotel and after my husband requested a smoking room (which was booked a week and a half in advance), no smoking room was available for us even though customer booking in after us got smoking rooms. We then accepted non-smoking room where we got settled, only to find out that we have to be moved again because the cards were not working on the door. We were moved to room 247 where we finally got to relax. </p> <p>A second problem was me noticing how incredibly dirty your "4star' hotel is. The shower still had hair from the previous visitors in it and the next morning at breakfast I had to repeatedly ask for clean knives and forks as they were all dirty. </p> <p>The biggest problem I had was with the Tribes restaurant, when we arrived to have our three course supper as per the internet advertised package, we were told that they are unaware of it. Eventually after having multiple discussions with managers and what I think was the owner of the restaurant (and this was after them checking on the internet to see what we were talking about) we finally got to sit down and get our awful set menu.</p> <p>Now please understand that I and my family have enjoyed the Zues package multiple times at Platia restaurant, their service and food is always outstanding. </p> <p>The Tribes set menu was horrific however and we both got food poisoning the next day, it was so bad that we couldn't even enjoy breakfast properly. We had what they said was Ostrich Sausage for starters, but on the bill they gave us they said it was Impala sausage, don't they know the difference between a bird and a buck??? We both had a 200gram sirloin steak for our main meal, but I am pretty sure the 200gram steak you receive at spur is much bigger; I would be surprised if it was even a 100gram steak. For dessert we had only one option which was a chocolate mousse pot thing. They brought us a chocolate pot with only cream inside and then only after sending it back did we get chocolate mousse inside like we were supposed to. After the meal we received bill which had all the food items on as well as the drinks, after another 100 complaints from me and my husband we ended up only paying for our drinks like we were supposed to. </p> <p>I am extremely disappointed and did not expect our anniversary to go so wrong on so many levels; all we wanted was a romantic night out. It was our first anniversary and I was so sad because my husband really just wanted it to be special.</p>
