Charging for service but cannot rendered - Worst service ever!!

Treś Jolie Wedding Venue is a place I would never recommend for any wedding function to anyone. I will not even support their restaurant at all. My son and this fiancé booked the wedding venue for our wedding for the 20th of June 2020 but unfortunately and sadly were unable to proceed with our wedding due to the Covid-19 pandemic and nationwide lockdown. We have requested Treś Jolie to move the date as they did not communicate anything at all. We have tried numerous times to reach them but without any success. They moved the wedding to the 15th of August 2020. My son booked an appointment on the 7th of July as they have left numerous messages for someone to get back to them. They confirmed the wedding total of 48 and discussed the option to proceed with the wedding and canapés afterwards and move the function to a later date. Tres Jolie still indicated that they cannot proceed. The kids have requested a cancellation letter as they cannot postpone the wedding as they need to move in their property on the 1st of August 2020. According to our Religion we do not believe in staying together without to get married. Tres Jolie even proposed that they need to move in and get married at a later stage!! This is ************** against our Religion. The kids requested a refunded/cancellation figure as Treś Jolie could not fulfill their duty due to the Covid-19 pandemic for the 2nd postponement date 15/8/2020. We have visited Tres Jolie again after receiving the possible cancelation figures (2nd meeting on the 16th of June) as the Covid 19 pandemic is beyond both our control. During this meeting we demand to proceed with the wedding, we confirmed the numbers again (48) and requested other options e.g to prepack the canapés, offered a meal from the restaurant or other options as they did not confirmed anything to the couple. Other venues offer the service and we have shared that Makiti start to operate again by the 1st of August plus we gave them 5 other places info who will proceed with the wedding and canapés. They cannot still deliver and we do not want to postpone as they sit without money with more than a year! They handed the option to cancel and demand R34 419 for doing absolutely nothing they call it cancellation damage on previous court cases (Before Covid19) . The bride still do not know who is their wedding coordinator!! Their cancellation reflect for 60 people and money paid over to them did not reflect at all. We have asked them to correct. Treś Jolie Wedding Venue claimed to have done a lot of work regarding the wedding but we were not informed of anything. We did not even had meetings with the coordinator and have not received any feedback. Only received 3 mails and 2 calls to communicate the menu increase and the postponement we requested. Although the possible cancellation letter indicated that Tres Jolie reserves the right to cancel any booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of any damage to, or destructive of the venue by fire, shortage of labor, strikes, industrial unrest, or any other cause beyond the control of TJ, which shall prevent it from performing its obligations. In these circumstances every effort will be made to find an alternative venue. Treś Jolie Wedding Venue is keeping us at ransom to either have our wedding at the venue or lose more than 50%of the money that we paid. Threatening us with CPA and attorney letters. I would not give Treś Jolie Wedding Venue any business moving forward due to their greed for money, lack of customer service, not showing respect, not having integrity, dishonesty and not taking their customers into consideration. I can continue with the list but let us leave it there. If anyone has any sense, doing business with Treś Jolie Wedding Venue is a big mistake and would cost you a lot of money. Their garden is in a bad state and their restaurant is not operating at all although they advertise on Google that they are open!! It let you wonder! Tres Jolie, you will only get negative publicity from my side.
