Treetops Guesthouse is a dump and a farce

We stayed in the Treetop Guesthouse in Weltevreden Park in Johannesburg from the 20th of Dec till the morning of the 25th of Dec. What a disaster. It was advertised that the swimming pool could be used, yet, no water in the swimming pool. The pots and pans looks like they were thrown away by someone on the dump and this lady got hold of them again. Dirty, packed with burn on and not cleaned before we moved in. Spider webs everywhere which was not 1 or 2 days old. The manhole cover in our room was open and dirty. The toilet was so small that we had to rather use the garage toilet nearby. How can this be advertised as a guesthouse. The place is dirty and the braai is a small little thing that was put down by someone near the steps. Also not cleaned properly. Although the lady is quite old, it does not give her the right to advertise lies. The price was also not cheap, especially for a dump like that. The bed was making such a noise when you just sit or lie on it that you battled to sleep on it as it was also old and bad. People, stay away from this guesthouse. This is ****************. The photos you see on Safarinow.com and Lekkeslaap is not at all what you get when you arrive there. Unfortunately we could not find another place to stay as my daughter gave birth the next morning after we arrived and we were from Cape Town. Never again.
