Appalling Customer Service

The one star rating is not a true reflection of my feelings I just clicked on it in order for me to write my review. A couple of months back my partner purchased a pair of male smart casual shoes at Tread + Miller Midlands Mall and later upon use realized that they were defected (undone stitching) at which point he returned the shoe to the store and an exchange was done resulting in my partner replacing the original shoe with a different color . On the 4th of October we again purchased another pair of male smart casual shoes because he still needed a navy shoe and the exact same issue arose. Upon returning to the store on the 05th of November, with the most appalling customer service, he was told that the shoes will be sent for repair. My partner had no desire to have a brand new shoe repaired and instead requested that an exchange be done but was declined and he left with the shoe, after leaving the store he was called by someone who claimed to be the store manager and was told that he can return to the store and exchange the shoe. He then returned to the store yesterday 6th November with me in toe as I was now becoming concerned about the situation. On arrival the gentleman at the counter (no name tag) who was also present on the 5th seemed clueless of my partners query and/or solution and then called the "store assistant manager" (also no name tag) who arrived from outside the store claiming that she is only helping out. We experienced the most appalling customer service from this pair, shouting and screaming across the store which finally resulted in my partner getting a gift card to the value of his shoes. My partner took a liking to Tread + Miller shoes from Cape Union Mart stores and followed them to they're stand alone store however ever since then he has experience nothing but grief. Defected shoes coupled with a stinking attitude from staff. I think I'll just start making his shoes myself from now on.
