Travelwings/ Virgin Atlantic

Booked flight in August 2021. TWBR-F145717, Virgin Atlantic from JHB via London to Cork Ireland. Amount was within my budget. London was only a layover, but afterwards I was told that I will need a full Visitors Visa. To qualify I must have R30 000.00 in my bank acc. - so I do not qualify . Being a pensioner , I took all my savings to buy this ticket. Now I tried to re -book to another airport that do not need a visa , but Travelwings referred me to Virgin Atlantic, and they referred me back to the agent . Now I am told that this a non refundable ticket and I cannot cancel . Not one of the two want to assist or help me. I am stuck in the middle. I still want to visit my grand children in December, but is seems like I am going to loose all the money,. I am really upset !!! This would have been my 1st overseas flight and what a disappointment.
